Hands down the best sushi you can get in the area. Fresh and a quiet atmosphere for a Thursday night.

This is my families favorite place for sushi. They are expensive, but my favorite in the area. We order carry out at least every other week! My only complaint would be that they don't deliver to my house!

The freshest tasting sushi in town and friendly, professional service.

This is seriously the best sushi I have had in SE Virginia. The selection of sushi is unique and fresh, the tuna and lump crab tar tar was cool and flavorful, and the plumtini was light and sweet. Made my day having such delicious and well prepared food.

Yeah it's expensive. That's because it's great. Rating a place low because you're used to $10 lunch box specials is ridiculous. Best Sushi on the East coast.

The layout of this restaurant is, as the French say, “trey sheek”. However, after we ordered, they brought the fish without remembering to cook it! But that’s ok... the Japanese waitstaff made up for that with their calm, zen like demeanor.

This is the best sushi I’ve ever had. The restaurant is so nice inside. The fish is beyond fresh. I highly recommend the specialty rolls and the egg drop soup is delicious. All other sushi places taste about the same but Mizuno stands out above the rest. This is the sushi restaurant I’d prefer to eat at the restaurant as opposed to take out (although I would do both!).

Best vegetarian rolls I have had. The soysoysoy roll is so so so good. The restaurant is very clean and classy. Food was served quickly. Staff was very polite. Would definitely recommend.

Best quality Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had. The attention to detail made to the dishes is amazing. Usually the thought of raw fish makes me nauseous but to be able to bite into and slowly chew on a wrap of salmon or tuna and enjoy it is worthy of mention to me.

You really can’t go wrong with this menu, but I recommend the Mizuno Roll! Crunchy tuna roll and crunchy salmon roll are a must do.

Excellent atmosphere and food

Honestly, This is the worst sushi place I have ever eaten at. I have never eaten two rolls and still been hungry afterwards. The price is outrageous for how little food you get. I have never written a review before but this definitely deserved one. On top of all of that, I order spicy mayo and they give me some white sauce that tasted like mayo and wasabi. So, Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Sushi is top quality....absolutely the best in all Tidewater area....never disappointed....kinda expensive....but worth every penny....you will leave there with a big smile on your face...when friends and family ask why the big smile...you end up telling them you had the best sushi in your lifetime....

The people who leave Mizuno bad reviews are either insane, or have never dined out. This is the best restaurant in Virginia Beach, period. Go!

Mizuno is very clean and very modern! I ordered the dumplings, salmon teriyaki and the mizuno roll and everything was delicious. The asparagus that came with the salmon was crisp and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I definitely recommend this place! It's a perfect place for a romantic date!

The first time I visited it was quiet. Five stars. This second time it was ok. There was a large party but it made it average for the rest of the restaurant

This was by far the best sushi I ever had. It is fine- dining at its best. If you want to impress someone bring them here! The place has a very modern hip vibe. Definitely will be coming back for the great service, food, and drinks!

The best Sushi you have the try it. I will put it another way if you have a beginner you want to introduce to Sushi this is the place. Been eating there for over 15 years. Go tell Walter Big Joe recommended you. Also the crab tuna tatar spicey is a must.

Consistently the best in the area. Wife and I have been coming here for years, but always try new places when they pop up or are brought to our attention - but we keep coming back to Mizuno's. Hot & sour soup will change your life. Get a reservation on the weekend, you'll need it.

Great sushi and Japanese restaurant. It has a nice sushi counter where you can watch the chefs prepare everything. It’s nice and clean, and the chefs take care and pride in their work. The quality of the seafood is great, and the service is great too. Friendly staff.

This was my first time coming to Mizuno and it was the most delicious dinner that I have had the appetizers were amazing the two sushi rolls that I got were amazing and then we finished up with an awesome Japanese waffle ice cream! Over all ever thing was so good and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know! I had an awesome time here!

What a disappointment! We typical get sushi from Blue Fin and tonight we decided to give Mizuno a chance. We ordered over $120 worth of sushi and it was by far the worst I’ve ever had, most of it was flavorless, the rolls fell apart, the portions were tiny and for the price I definitely expected more. What a bummer! Unfortunately we will never go back.

I try to go to the best sushi restaurants I can find any where I go and so far this is the best I've found in the Hampton roads area.
